WOODEN ARMCHAIRS
Previously owned by my customer’s mum, these chairs were destined to become the new armchairs in a recently decorated living room.
The original wood varnish was too dark to complement the new oak floors, so the main focus of the project was to carefully sand back and refinish the frames. This revealed a warmer tone that better suited the updated space. New cushions were created using a striking fabric from Linwood, bringing colour, texture and a contemporary feel to the chairs. Additional scatter cushions were added to support the lumbar and enhance both comfort and proportion.
Work carried out:
– Frames sanded back and refinished
– New seat and back cushions created
– Additional lumbar cushions added
Fabric used: Loxley in Marmalade from Linwood Fabric.
