TRADITIONAL DINING CHAIRS
This beautiful set of six dining chairs had originally been a wedding present to my customer’s mum and were later passed down when she bought her first home. All set to be used for Christmas dinner, the chairs needed to be structurally sound and comfortable.
The original webbing had failed and the springs were bursting through the seats, so the chairs were stripped right back to the frame. The wood was cleaned and waxed, new webbing and springs were fitted, and the seats were traditionally reupholstered from scratch. The customer selected her own fabric, and the warm gold tone complements the wooden frames beautifully. We struggled to find the perfect trim, so went with a double pipe in the same fabric.
Work carried out:
– Full strip-back to frame
– Replacement webbing and springs
– Traditional seat upholstery
– Wood cleaned and waxed
– Double piping trim
Fabric used: Customer's own.
This was a customer commission. If you have a chair or piece of furniture you’d like restored or reupholstered, I’d love to discuss your project. Please get in touch to talk through options and fabrics.
